Health-Care Reform

Healthcare is an ever-changing landscape; not only benefit and cost wise, but legislatively as well. On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed into law the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). The following week the President signed into law the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010, which made changes to the PPACA. Together these laws put into place comprehensive health insurance reforms that will hold insurance companies more accountable and will lower health care costs, guarantee more health care choices, and enhance the quality of health care for all Americans.

The Act will not be implemented all at once. Portions of the law have already taken effect. Other changes will be implemented through 2014 and beyond. These changes are complex and will have a significant impact on employer sponsored health plans. Bristol Financial Services can help you set up a road map that will guide you through the timelines, requirements and opportunities of these changes, which will insure you are in compliance and will define both short and long term strategies for your employee benefits program.
